What it is:
A paste made from sugar, lemon, and water. Very natural, very ancient (literally).

How it works:

• Applied against hair growth

• Removed with hair growth

• Usually at room temperature

• Less painful for many people

• Gentler on sensitive skin

• Fewer ingrown hairs

• Doesn’t stick to live skin

  Waxing

  What it is:
  Resin-based wax (soft or hard wax)

  How it works:

  • Applied with hair growth

  • Removed against hair growth

  • Warm or hot

  • More painful for some

  • Higher risk of irritation or burns

  • More ingrowns for certain skin types

  • Can lift skin if done poorly
